Introduction to Build It!

Build It!

Build It! introduces you to Cassie Carter, who wants to start a cupcake shop. It starts with Cassie's idea and all the tasks she undertakes to start her business the right way, through opening the business, and the early months of opening.

Module 1: So You Think You Want to Start a Business

This Module is designed to help prospective business owner's figure out what they want to make. Our goal is for you to know what corporate forms are available to you and build around what works bests for your situation.

Module 2: Mise en Place

The purpose of this Module is to assemble your "equipment" before you start cooking. In forming a business, the most important "equipment" are the people around you. Here, we identify the professionals every business should have to succeed.

Module 3: Writing Your Recipe

This Module walks a Limited Liability Company owner through the steps on how to write their "recipe" to make sure that they're operating consistently and correctly. These include operating agreements, organizational consents, and other documents.
